Fashion Trends this 2012

Fashion refers to any mode of dressing that is popular during a particular time or in a particular place. Fashion is a style or a practice particularly in clothing, footwear, accessories, in makeup or even in body art (e.g pirecing, tattoo). Fashion changes from one period to another. It changes from one generation to another generation. Every person regardless of what gender follows fashion trends.

Among the two genders, the ladies are the most fashionable ones. Sometimes, ladies copy the fashion styles and the fashion looks from high profile people and actresses. Women especially the younger generation tend to look like their KPOP idols from Korea. The animal print fashion style of the Kardashians has also become a popular fashion trend by women these days. The media has made a great contribution on spreading fashion throughout the whole world. Now, fashion isn't just spread in one country but is also spread throughout the world.

This 2012 has become a wild year for fashion. Fashion trends change so fast you wouldn't even notice. Here's a flash back on the fashion trends:

Bottoms

It started with skinny jeans. Then came different styles like the high-waisted trousers. The high-waisted trousers were famous in the 80s. I think this year, fashion is trying to revive the classics. Rompers are also in-trend this year. It gives you that stylish and comfy feel. Sportif pants are also in this year especially the acid washed sportif jeans. Slouchy shorts are also in. They are usually high-waisted but the part where you place the belt is usually at the lower waist part.

For the prints, the most famous one is the floral-printed bottoms and the animal-printed jeans. It varies from small to large prints. Bleached bottoms are also in this year. For that cowgirl feel, embellished jeans are perfect. Another style that's in is the patch or tattered jeans and the metallic jeans.

For the skirt, the hip-hugging skirts are famous this days. Regardless of whether its an a-line cut or a pencil cut. Asymmetric skirts are also in trend this year. Usually you will see that the front side is short and the back part of the skirt is long. 

Tops

Just like the bottoms, asymmetric-styled tops are everywhere. I think the reason why most ladies love this style is because it can blends well with different body sizes, whether they are fat or slim. It also blends well with any height, whether that lady is short or tall. 

Long-sleeved tops are also part of the latest fashion trends. It gives the formal look to women. It can be a formal wear or a casual wear. See-through tops are also in. Ladies this 2012 also love to wear ethnic print tops.

Accessories

This 2012, ladies are fond of the abstract accessories. They usually like long necklaces. The edgy accessories are also famous. You can see spiked accessories like necklaces, bracelets and headbands. The floral and animal-inspired accessories are also one of the top picks this year.

It has been a really wild year for fashion. Everyone is trying to make their own fashion statement. Others are just trying to be in. One advice would be is just to be yourself. Wear what makes you comfortable. Looking good isn't just wearing what's "in". It also matters on how you wear it and how confident you are with what you are wearing, no matter what style it is.

The 4th Philippine KPOP Convention

And so, I heard about this 4th Philippine KPOP Convention. The Philippine KPOP Convention is the biggest KPOP event in the country. Not to mention, the KPOP Convention is organized by KPOP fan clubs in the Philippines. The convention unites KPOP fans all over the country. Aside from that, the convention also does a fund raising activity that supports Gawad Kalinga and PAWS.

It's where you can see high profile people not only from the local media but also from the international media. The event gives you a chance to get to see your KPOP idols and be updated with the official album launches of your idols.

Yeah! I know that this starter blog of mine is a fashion blog and this post right now is about KPop. But, who cares? I love KPop and I really idolize Koreans for their artistic and awesome fashion sense.

Well, let’s talk about Korean fashion. I love how they blend in outfits with different colors and still look stunning. I love how Koreans blend outfits with bright colors without looking too flashy. I mean, other women who wear bright colors, neon colors - to make it specific, don't look good. I wonder how Korean ladies do that. Maybe I'll do a more intensive research about that and post a Korean fashion style guide.

The photo above which I grabbed from the FB Page of Basic House is a peek on how Koreans dress. You can see that the outfits are simple yet makes the person wearing it look classy. You can go shopping for Korean-style outfits. You can either choose to shop in the mall or in the internet. But, if you want a more affordable price, you can shop online. You can check on a variety of websites that sell Korean fashion outfits at an affordable price. You can view some photos to see what's hot in the Korean fashion trends. It also gives you a hint on what looks good on you. You know, it isn't just about, shopping. It's also about looking good on the outfits you bought.

Hair Style

You can search on Google and see how Korean ladies hair style looks like. You can also search on the Internet for some tutorials on how to do a certain hair style. When choosing a hair style, make sure it's presentable and goes well with the shape of your face and the outfit you'd be wearing. You don't wanna be there looking like there's a Christmas tree on your head, right?

Make Up

You can try on some eyeliner since it never fades out in the Korean fashion trend. You can also try on some lip gloss since most of the KPOP ladies likes wearing pink lipstick paired with lip gloss. Here's a tip: make it natural. Make sure that your make up is just right - not to heavy and not too light. 

Accessories

And, this is the fun part. You shouldn't forget to accessorize yourself. Spiked accessories are also in trend. Just keep it simple and make sure that you don't over-accessorize yourself from head to toe.

Wearing Wardrobes with Animal Prints

Wardrobes with animal prints are one of the latest fashion trends nowadays. Animal prints gives you the wild look. I haven't worn wardrobes with animal prints yet. But, if you are a fan of this wild prints, be careful not to overdo your outfit. 

When wearing outfits with animal prints, I recommend you to pair them with classic or neutral colors. Outfits with animal prints will look much better when it is worn on the right occasion. Unless you are going of to a costume party and being a wanna-be cat woman. Wearing such clothes can always capture someone's eyes and make people focus on you.

Start in small steps

If you are still a newbie and is not confident enough to wear such outfits, start off by trying on animal print bags or purse. You can also try to wear shoes with animal prints on it. Or, you can kick off your outfit by having animal print accessories.

Pair animal prints with black

Black clothes always look good on any color of clothes you pair it with. To give your animal print outfit a classic look, try pairing it with black.

Choose bigger animal prints
